Stimulus Shmimulus

I am just full of opinions today. Every legislative session US Congressman and Senators come and speak to the local legislators, and this year it has been all about the stimulus package. All of them voiced their concerns saying how crappy it is, and know that I have heard their complaints I can't believe enough people supported it for it to pass. The main thing that chaps my hide is that only seven percent of the funds will be used in 09' just 20 percent in 2010. Economists are predicting that the recession will be over in 2011. What are we thinking? Another thing is that it doesn't address the housing problem. It focuses money of government, not money for individual families. If someone has their house foreclosed on them, how is it going to help them to have new road protects, or new state buildings. I understand that this helps create jobs and specifically construction jobs, but how many people who lost their job in housing construction are now going to do road work? Also, with the bailouts, why are we afraid to let anyone fail? Banks failing cause they did risky loans is part of cleansing the system. They did something stupid, they should have to face the consequences.
